Poznan University of Technology joins the international SafeWork project

A team of researchers from the Institute of Multimedia Telecommunications at Poznań University of Technology has won funding for the project ‘SafeWork: Workforce Location Management for Safe Automated Industries’ under the SI Baltic Sea Neighbourhood Programme. The project aims to ensure worker safety and create new prospects for industry in the Baltic Sea region.

The project focuses on creating safe working conditions in rapidly growing automated industries. Its implementers are developing an innovative workforce location management system to minimise the risk of accidents and injuries on industrial sites by monitoring people, vehicles, assets and potential hazards in real time.

The implementers of the project include Poznan University of Technology,  Mid Sweden University , Sweden (MIUN), Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Lithuania (Vilnius Tech) and Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia (TalTech).
