“A model for Interactive (A) Synchronous Learning in Online STEM Education e-CLOSE” is an international project coordinated by the Lodz University of Technology. Its aim is to increase the interaction and relationship between the lecturer and the student as well as their motivation for online learning.

The project will include: Lodz University of Technology, University of Applied Sciences in Saarbrücken (Germany), University of Alcalá (Spain) and University of Aveiro (Portugal). Its budget is EUR 300,000. This is the highest amount awarded within the Erasmus + competition.

One of the most attractive challenges of the project will be the development of a virtual system for awarding micro-qualifications, which the student will be able to gain additionally during their studies. Moreover, students will be invited to do an experimental task – the so-called reverse mentoring, consisting in playing the role of a mentor for your teachers using modern tools and virtual communicators – said Dr Dorota Piotrowska, director of the Center for International Cooperation and the project leader.
