Professor Sławomir Wiak, rector of the Lodz University of Technology (PŁ), signed an agreement on didactic and scientific cooperation with the Thiès University of Technology, which was represented by the Prof. Alassane Diène and Prof. Mamadou Lamine Lo, head of the foreign cooperation department.

University representatives from Senegal visited the faculties and laboratories of the Lodz University of Technology related to the areas where the Thiès University of Technology conducts research and education. They watched laboratories of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Information Technology Center, the Faculty of Construction, Architecture and Environmental Engineering as well as Lab Factor.

Senegal provides a change in the profile of higher education. It will be more focused on technical sciences than before. Because Senegal has only two universities of technology it will gladly use the experience of PŁ.
