Łódź Voivodeship will grant Łódź University of Technology 750 thousand PLN for the establishment of the 5G Competence Center and for the creation of the 5G Information and Communication Portal.

Signing the contract, the rector of the Łódź university, Prof. Sławomir Wiak, emphasized that the Łódź region has a huge number of specialists, gathered within the ICT Cluster. Also preparatory works for creating the Competence Center and Knowledge Portal are already very advanced.

The university informs that experts have already been selected, including authorities from abroad and representatives of companies, as well as a space has been designated for building the IT infrastructure. Lodz University of Technology has committed to contribute 250,000 PLN for this purpose from university funds.
