01.10.2021

Students from the GeoIT Geoinformatics Science Club from the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin under the supervision of Dr Mateusz Zawadzki developed and prepared the educational application Natural riches of Poland.

The application is the implementation of the winning project as part of the Anna Pasek Minigrants for Science Clubs. Its aim is to broaden the knowledge of the location of natural resources and centers for their acquisition in Poland. It presents information on import, export, extraction and use of individual raw materials. The data used to create the application is received from the resources of the Polish Geological Institute.

The application consists of three main elements intended for learning and checking the knowledge already acquired – Study, Test and Free mode. All the information is optimized for learning for secondary school students.
