Lublin University of Technology (PL) and PGE Dystrybucja are constructing the two-way charging stations for electric vehicles operating at lighting poles. This is a unique solution on a national and European scale.
The device is integrated with a lighting pole. This saves space and the charging stations do not disturb the landscape. Installation of the charging station can be carried out during e.g. replacement of lighting columns in a given place – says Prof. Wojciech Jarzyna, head of the Department of Electrical Drives and Machines.
At the end of September, the Lublin electric car charger will be tested. At the end of this year, the first two stations will start operating at the Lublin University of Technology and PGE Dystrybucja.
