The campus of Lublin University of Technology will be home to the IT Tower, a facility where IT specialists will be educated, but which will also house the Interdepartmental Centre for Cyber Security and Artificial Intelligence.

As Professor Zbigniew Pater, Rector of the Lublin University of Technology (PL), informed during a press briefing, the IT Tower will house ‘modern, properly equipped laboratories, but above all, people who will pursue new challenges, new projects and solutions, which will then be implemented in the city and the region’.

Artur Soboń, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Finance, who attended the event, presented the rector of PL with a symbolic cheque for the construction of the IT Tower.

“I am convinced that today this PLN 100 million for the University of Technology is not only an excellent investment in the development of the University itself, but it is a great investment in the future of Lublin, so that it becomes the centre of artificial intelligence in Poland”, said Deputy Minister Soboń.
