The Lublin University of Technology has already produced over 2.6 thousand protective helmets. First, they were received by university staff. On Tuesday, January 26, 1.5 thousand helmets were transferred free of charge to the Board of Education in Lublin to protect primary school teachers.

I hope that our helmets will increase the safety of students and teaching staff. This action is another example how our university and modern equipment serve the local community – said Prof. Zbigniew Pater, rector of the Lublin University of Technology.

The moment when the Rector of PL handed the helmets to the Lublin Superintendent of Education, was attended by the Minister of Education and Science, Przemysław Czarnek, who said that “the gift of the University of Technology is a beautiful example of solidarity in the difficult times of the pandemic, concern for common security and good cooperation between academic and educational environments”. The Lublin University of Technology campaign is an example of good practice of supporting schools not only in educating children and youth, but also in terms of the functioning of institutions and their staff – added Minister Czarnek.
