Machine learning at the University of Warsaw

On 31 December 2023, the Academy for Innovative Applications of Digital Technologies (AI Tech) project was completed. Thanks to it, from 2021 it is possible at the University of Warsaw (UW) to study. Machine Learning, which allows students to acquire knowledge and skills in machine learning. So far, 18 students have been awarded degrees.

The aim of the Academy of Innovative Applications of Digital Technologies (AI Tech) project was to develop a model for the systemic education of specialists in artificial intelligence, machine learning and cyber security.

The project involved five universities providing education in the broad field of computer science: Warsaw University, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Gdansk University of Technology, Poznan University of Technology, and Wroclaw University of Science and Technology.

At the University of Warsaw, project activities were carried out at the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics. Their main aim was to organise and launch a new MA Machine Learning degree course.
