The Main Library of the University of Economics in Katowice was incorporated into the nationwide library network. The application received a positive opinion from the substantive department and the National Library.

The nationwide library network was established in order to conduct uniform library and information activities, enabling the use of library materials and other sources of information. The nationwide library network includes public libraries and other libraries incorporated by the decision of the minister responsible for culture and protection of national heritage.

Libraries in the network cooperate in collecting, developing, storing and sharing collections, preparing and disseminating bibliographic and documentation information, research and development activities as well as training and professional development of library employees as well as exchange and transfer of library materials and information.
