Maria Curie Skłodowska University has the largest number of applicants for psychology studies

The Maria Curie Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin has completed the first round of recruitment for bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes in the 2023/2024 academic year. The university prepared 5,000 places for candidates in nearly 90 majors and over 300 specialisations conducted at 12 faculties. 

More than 16,000 people have registered in the recruitment system, including 1,466 foreigners. They are mainly from Ukraine, but also from African countries. 

In terms of the number of people per place, the following full-time Bachelor’s and Master’s degree courses attracted the most interest during this year’s intake: psychology – 11.8 people per place, criminology – 10.4 people per place, public relations and information management – 8.75 people per place.

In terms of the number of registrations, however, the most candidates applied for psychology – 1486 candidates; law – 1009 and English studies – 754.
