During the ceremonial opening of the new building of the Institute of Pedagogy of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, the rector, Prof. Radosław Dobrowolski, said “I have no doubts that such investments as the modern facilities of the Institute of Pedagogy of the Maria Curie Skłodowska University (UMCS), opened today, will contribute to the improvement of the conditions for educating students and the quality of research conducted at our university”.
The design of the building of the UMCS Institute of Pedagogy was prepared by the Warsaw architect Radosław Guzowski, who adopted four main assumptions in his architectural and urban concept: functionality, economy, ecology and aesthetics.
The contractor for the investment was the construction company Anna-Bud. The new seat of the UMCS Institute of Pedagogy was built in the vicinity of the facilities of the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism and the Institute of Psychology of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of UMCS, which were commissioned in 2020.
