Maritime Economy Research Centre of the University of Gdansk becomes a member of the National Chamber of Maritime Economy

The Research Centre for the Maritime Economy of the University of Gdansk (CBnGM) has received a certificate of membership of the National Chamber of Maritime Economy (KIGM). The Chamber is a nationwide, voluntary, self-governing organisation of business entities operating within the broadly defined maritime economy and a member of the National Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw.

The basic tasks of the KIGM include the creation of conditions for the development of economic life, support of economic initiatives that take into account the characteristics of maritime regions, integration of the business community operating in areas of the maritime economy and ensuring the representation of this group of companies vis-à-vis institutions and state and local administration.

The certificate was received by the director of the CBnGM, Dr Dorota Pyć, professor at the University of Gdansk, who spoke about the possibilities for cooperation in the area of maritime economy and presented the scope of the centre’s activities.
