Gdynia Maritime University was nominated for the Polish Intelligent Development Award 2018. Nomination in the University of the Future category was awarded for the project “Didactic infrastructure supporting practical training at the Faculty of Mechanical, Electrical and Navigation Maritime University of Gdynia – purchase of equipment for teaching laboratories (iMEN)”.

As part of the project, the university modernized and launched 20 laboratories, which will allow to broaden and adapt the educational offer, among others to the needs of enterprises from the port-maritime, offshore and transport and logistics industries as well as land based maritime economy.

The Innovative Development Award receives the most innovative solutions and innovative investments that are created in Poland. As part of the nomination, entities are identified that demonstrate their future-oriented activities and do not hesitate to undertake new challenges.
