Gdynia Maritime University has been the laureate of a pilot call of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education “Regional Initiative of Excellence”. The university obtained a grant of PLN 11.87 million under the decision of the Minister of Science and Higher Education – Jaroslaw Gowin.

Thanks to the funding, the university will carry out the project “Development of the research base and scientific achievements of the employees of the Electrical Department of the Maritime University in Gdynia” from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2022.

The project will provide academic teachers with trainings, access to scientific databases, instrument grants, small research grants, conference grants, professor subsidies, habilitation scholarships and employment financing for new research workers.
