Popular science lectures to be held at the Astronomical Observatory of the Adam Mickiewicz University

The Institute of Astronomical Observatory of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan invites participants to a series of popular science lectures in 2019. Interesting issues in the field of astronomy will be delivered by university scientists.

The lectures will be held once a month, twice a day. Admission is free, but advance booking is required. After each lecture, the visit the Observatory is planned to use the telescopes and observe the sky.

Proposals and dates of lectures for the first half-year: on January 18 – 100 years of the Astronomical Observatory in Poznań; February 15 – About women looking at the sky; March 15 – A giant among giants; April 12 – About baobabs and the Little Prince, or what hides the asteroid; May 10 – Solar eclipse in 1919. a General Theory of Relativity and June 14 – “A small step for man, but a big leap for humanity”
