The Maritime University in Szczecin has launched a training center for low-speed engines with a new virtual simulator. It will serve students of the Mechanical Faculty and Mechanics raising their qualifications and allowing to gain new qualifications.
WinGD’s Low Speed Engine Training Center is a highly specialized laboratory that trains mechanics to maintain and operate some of the world’s most widely used marine engines.
Training takes place on a simulator of virtual reality. This allows students to learn the future work environment, the secrets of many engines without the need to visit many ships.
The WinGD company continues the traditions of Wärtsilä Switzerland Ltd. and Sulzer Ltd. – leaders in the design and production of low-speed crosshead engines used to propel ships that have been cooperating for decades with Polish shipyards and production plants.
