Mazowieckie Voivodeship to implement the Smart Villages concept

The Marshal’s Office of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship has financed the project “Implementation of the Smart Villages concept in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship”

It is a research and development project, and its implementation is aimed at supporting the community and the development of rural areas of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship and strengthening cooperation between local government and scientific organizations.

The basis for the achievement of the project’s objectives will be to conduct research and scientific analyzes consisting in the identification of elements slowing down the development of agriculture, assessment of farming conditions and determination of factors influencing the slowdown in the development of agriculture.

The implementation of the project is planned until 2023, and the estimated budget is PLN 3,570,000.

The consortium implementing the project includes: Warsaw University of Technology, Faculty of Geodesy and Cartography as a leader of the project, the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw, Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics – National Research Institute (PIB), Institute of Geodesy and Cartography, Institute of Soil Science and Plant Cultivation – National Research Institute, Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Aviation.
