The Supreme Medical Chamber of India added the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) in Olsztyn into the list of medical universities recognized by India. This opens up the opportunity for UWM students to work in India.
– We are very happy about this decision. India is one of the most populous countries in the world. It counts more than 1.3 billion people, and in addition, many Indians live outside its borders. This accreditation opens the way for inviting students from India to our Faculty of Medicine – said prof. Andrzej Rynkiewicz, dean of the Faculty of Medicine.
Polish universities in Białystok, Gdańsk, Katowice, Lublin, Łódź, Poznań, Toruń and Wrocław as well as the Warsaw Medical University and Collegium Medicum of the Jagiellonian University have already been accepted by Indian Medical Chamber.
