The AZ Medical Simulation Centre has opened in the building of the Institute of Humanities and Medicine at the Zamojska Academy (AZ), which is equipped with modern patient trainers and simulators. The academy has also begun recruiting for bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes in nursing and midwifery.
The AZ Medical Simulation Centre is comprehensively equipped with rooms for the acquisition of practical skills faithfully reflecting hospital premises, i.e. an intensive care room, an ALS (Advanced Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) room, an ED, or a room for technical skills and nursing and midwifery skills.
The building has been adapted so that students can carry out simulated rescue operations in various conditions, with phantoms and simulated patients, in a manner similar to clinical conditions. An ambulance will also be available to students and lecturers.
