The Medical University of Gdansk has received funding for the creation of the Cardiovascular Laboratory – CLEVERHEART University Interventional Core Laboratories, a research and development centre in invasive cardiology. The funding of more than PLN 1.64 million comes from the Ministry of Education and Science.

The Cardiovascular Laboratory, as an integral part of the Invasive Cardiology Laboratory of the 1st Department of Cardiology, will be a unique academic research and development centre conducting projects evaluating the safety and efficacy of modern therapies in cardiology.

The unit will become a comprehensively equipped research and development centre, offering an attractive workplace for researchers and presenting itself as a partner for scientific and implementation projects. Its aim is to carry out early-phase research (including first-in-human studies) and develop novel therapies in invasive cardiology.
