An agreement has been signed between the Medical University of Gdansk and Comarch Healthcare S.A., under which a telemedicine platform will be installed together with peripheral devices for teaching purposes.
The aim of the course is to prepare professionals to work with telemedicine systems. Students will be familiarised with the principles of such systems, and prepared lesson scenarios will allow the simulation of events that graduates will have to face in their work. The software works in different languages, so English-speaking students will be able to use it.
Students will have the opportunity to take on different roles (e.g. coordinator, doctor, nurse, but also patient) and, on the basis of data from devices (remotely operating: pulse oximeter, scale, e-stethoscope, glucometer, ECG, smart bracelet with geolocalisation option, blood pressure monitor), they will have to take appropriate actions via the platform.
