Doctor of MS Piotr Eder from the Poznan University of Medical Sciences has been awarded the international Dr Bares Award for one of the best original papers in the field of gastroenterology and hepatology, published in 2015-2017.
The award-winning work: “Magnetic resonance enterronic predictors of one-year outcome in Ileal and ileocolonic Crohn’s disease treated with anti-tumor necrosis factor antibodies”, was published in Scientific Reports in 2015. It was written in collaboration with the Department and Department of Radiology and concerned the usefulness of magnetic resonance enterography in predicting long-term results of anti-TNF-alpha therapy for Leśniowski-Crohn disease.
The Dr Bares Award competition from 1994 promotes researchers dealing with gastroenterology and hepatology mainly from Central and Eastern Europe. Piotr Eder is the fourth Polish winner.
