Medical University of Silesia publish the first in Poland and Europe book on the consequences of Covid-19

Scientists of the Medical University of Silesia are the authors of the first in Poland and Europe publication “Comprehensive care for patients with Post-Covid 19 (PC19) syndrome”. At least 1.5 million Poles suffer from various consequences of Covid-19.

The book was recommended by the Board of the Polish Society of Epidemiologists and Doctors of Infectious Diseases. Its twelve authors and prominent practitioners discuss the individual effects of coronavirus infection – including cardiological, neurological, psychological character, as well as its influence on diseases of the liver, lungs and bloodvessels.

The authors of the publication include: Prof. Jerzy Jaroszewicz, head of the Department and Clinical Department of Infectious Diseases and Hepatology of the Medical University of Silesia, head of the covid department at Specialist Hospital No. 1 in Bytom, and Prof. Mariusz Gąsior, cardiologist from the Silesian Center for Heart Diseases in Zabrze, head of the 3rd Department and Clinical Department of Cardiology of the Medical University of Silesia.
