The Medical University of Silesia in Katowice has been accredited by the Agency for Public Health Education Accreditation (APHEA) for the field of public health studies run by the Faculty of Health Sciences in Bytom.

This is the first such accreditation for this field of study in Poland granted by APHEA – a European institution granting international accreditation to academic centers that conduct studies in public health. Accreditation has been granted for six years with the possibility of extension.

This means that people undertaking education in public health at the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice have a guarantee that both the curriculum and its implementation meet the highest international education standards, and the diploma is just as prestigious as other top universities in the world educating in in this regard.
