A branch of the Medical University of Wrocław (UMWr) will be established at the Angelus Silesius Academy of Applied Sciences (ANSAS) in Wałbrzych. An agreement to this effect was signed by the rectors of both universities in the presence and with the support of the Mayor of Wałbrzych, Dr Roman Szełemej.

‘We will educate our students within the school. Initially, we intend to have 50 students majoring in medicine. We have signed a letter of intent today to be able to use the facilities here”, says Professor Piotr Ponikowski, rector of the UMWr.

“We offer our premises and didactic facilities, including the Medical Simulation Centre, which is currently under construction, as we also offer medical faculties, i.e. first-degree nursing, and we are planning to open a second-degree nursing and emergency medical service. The Medical University is contributing its scientific and research potential as well as its didactic potential in terms of training doctors and this is building us a very integrated model of education in medical sciences”, adds Professor Robert Wiszniowski, rector of ANSAS.
