“I have signed a decree establishing new specialities and disciplines, including biblical studies and family sciences”, said Minister of Education and Science Przemysław Czarnek during the inauguration of the new academic year 2022/2023 at the Catholic University of Lublin.

The minister concluded that biblical studies and family sciences “are particularly needed in Poland”.

“We want to strengthen Polish biblical studies with the aim of creating a centre in Poland equal to those in Jerusalem, Switzerland or the United States. Poland has such potential and this potential exists here at the Catholic University of Lublin. There is also great potential here for family sciences to be developed further,” Minister Czarnek added.

The minister claimed that it is necessary to find the truth about the family anew and to show this truth to society, because without it, ‘all our efforts, all the development of the Catholic University of Lublin will be of no use. Without the family there will be no us in 50 years,” he stressed.
