On September 14, 2021, during a ceremony organized in the Ministry of Education and Science, Minister Przemysław Czarnek handed over the first statute of the Zamość Academy to the Rector of the Academy, Paweł Skrzydlewski.

-This is a great opportunity for Zamość as a scientific center. We are bringing back the great splendor of the Zamość Academy, which served so devotedly when it was one of the 3 universities in the 17th century’s Poland. We need to strengthen such scientific centers like Zamość, because there are huge educational needs in higher education and science in Poland- said Minister Czarnek.

The Zamość Academy is a public higher school that was established on September 1, 2021 from the Szymon Szymonowic State Higher School in Zamość on the provisions of the Act of 8 July 2021.
