The Minister of Science and Higher Education, Dariusz Wieczorek, met with the rectors of universities from the Łódź Voivodeship. The topic of the talks was the key challenges for the science and higher education sectors and the prospects for their development. 

This was a continuation of meetings with the academic community that will be held across Poland in the coming months. The first event was organised at the beginning of February at the University of Szczecin.

During his visit to the Biedermann Palace in Łódź, the head of the Ministry of Science spoke about the necessity and need to restore cooperation and dialogue with the academic community. 

“We wish to restore the dialogue with the academic community and also to restore the authority of Polish science and discuss with you how to do this”, assured Minister Wieczorek.

He also indicated the need to discover and support Polish scientific potential. “We must start boasting about our achievements and promoting them”, he said.
