Minister of Education and Science to offer scholarships for significant scientific, artistic or sports achievements

Przemysław Czarnek, the minister of education and science, awarded 362 students with scholarships for their significant scientific, artistic or sports achievements. Applications of students from all over Poland were assessed by a jury of experts representing various fields of science and art.

The Ministry of Science received 890 applications in this matter. The winners will receive a financial award of 17,000. PLN.

The applications were assessed by the Advisory Jury for the evaluation of applications for granting scholarships of the minister of education and science for students and outstanding young scientists. The jury members were selected from among candidates proposed by the Central Council of Science and Higher Education, the Science Evaluation Committee and the Council of Young Scientists.

The largest number of scholarships were granted to students from: the University of Warsaw – 63, the Jagiellonian University – 60, the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń – 24, the Warsaw University of Technology – 16 and the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań – 14.
