The main assumptions of the Academic Freedom Package include respecting the freedom of teaching, freedom of speech, scientific research, and the publication of their results, as well as providing academic debate in line with the principles of belief pluralism and university order regulations.

The Minister of Education and Science, Przemysław Czarnek, presented the details of the draft amendment to the Act – Law on Higher Education and Science, which will concern the disciplinary liability of academic teachers.

The Academic Freedom Package introduces legal changes guaranteeing teachers freedom of teaching, freedom of speech and freedom of research. The package is the implementation in academic practice of the constitutional right to express worldview, religious and philosophical beliefs.
