Within the “Implementation doctorate” program, the Ministry of Science accepted the application of the Krakow University of Technology (PK) for 30 implementation doctorates in cooperation with 19 companies.

The main goal of the “Implementation doctorate” program is to create conditions for the development of cooperation between the scientific and socio-economic environments. Its main assumption is the preparation of a doctoral dissertation by a doctoral student, which will help solve challenges of given enterprises.

The PK application will provide for 30 implementation doctorates in 2020-2024. The program of education at the PK Doctoral School includes preparing doctoral dissertations in 6 scientific disciplines: architecture and urban planning (2 doctoral students), automation, electronics and electrical engineering (1 doctoral student), chemical engineering (4 doctoral students), engineering materials (6 doctoral students), mechanical engineering (4 doctoral students) and environmental engineering, mining and energy (13 doctoral students) in cooperation with 19 companies. The total amount of co-financing requested by the PK is nearly PLN 10 million.
