The salaries of academic teachers can increase by 30 percent from next year. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education is preparing a program to increase the salaries of scientists.

Deputy Prime Minister Jaroslaw Gowin underlined that the government will allocate additional funds to increase salaries for both the academic and the administrative staff. Next year’s salary increase will not end the process of raising wages for academic staff.

From January 2019, in accordance with the recently issued regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education, the regular professor’s minimum salary will amount to PLN 6,410 ( PLN 1,000 more than at present). A university professor will earn no less than 83 percent, and an associate professor will earn 73 percent of regular professor’s salary.
