A Mobile Robot Laboratory has been established at the Silesian University of Technology. It is a joint initiative of the university and AIUT. Future engineers will have access to the latest technologies in mobile robotics and intralogistics.
“Thanks to the cooperation with the socio-economic environment, we are able to educate students in such a way that in their future professional work they will be able to meet the requirements of employers, the labour market and technological progress”, says the rector of the Silesian University of Technology, Professor Arkadiusz Mężyk.
At the new site, students will be able to hone their skills in designing and building autonomous mobile robots. Six professional teaching stations will be at their disposal, including, among others, a station for learning and testing drive techniques. Students will use software to configure and operate control and safety systems, as well as advanced navigation systems used in AMR and AGVs.
