On the roof of the Center for Continuing Education of the University of Economics in Wrocław, there are four bee families of the Krainka Sklenar G10 species. The breed of these bees is very gentle and was created especially for intercourse with humans. A total of nearly two hundred and eighty thousand bees will live in the hives.
“I am very happy about our next initiative for sustainable development, because with such actions we increase the pro-ecological awareness among students, employees and the business community cooperating with the University. We are trying to be an active leader of these changes”, says the Rector of the University of Economics in Wrocław, Professor Andrzej Kaleta.
The vicinity of the campus of the University of Economics in Wrocław creates fantastic conditions for bees, as in the vicinity there are the South Park and the Anders Hill. For the insects, a flower meadow was sown next to one of the buildings.
