More foreign students start studies at Wrocław University of Science and Technology

375 new foreign students were officially welcomed at Wrocław University of Science and Technology (“PWr”). During the ceremony, organised by the Department of International Cooperation, the students received the most important information related to the operation of the university.

The studies were inaugurated by 180 full-time students and 195 under student exchange programmes from dozens of countries around the world. New students have already taken part in a city game and learned why it is useful to have a PESEL number.

A total of 180 people have come this year to study full-time at PWR in Polish or English – most from Ethiopia, India, Iraq, Tanzania, Ukraine and Pakistan. They also include students from Egypt, Kenya, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia. Philippines and China.

A further 195 people have come for a semester or a year – as part of student exchange programmes. Most students come from France, Spain and Turkey. There are also students from Georgia, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, South Korea and the USA and Taiwan.
