The Gdansk University of Technology has received over PLN 800,000 from the National Agency for Academic Exchange to carry out a project aimed at supporting partner universities from Ukraine. Universities which are members of the European Universities Initiative, including Gdansk University of Technology as a member of the ENHANCE Alliance, were eligible to apply for the funding.

The recipients of the project will be academic teachers, administrative staff, young researchers and students from Kyiv Polytechnic University and Lviv Polytechnic University – partner universities of the ENHANCE Alliance itself.

From January to December 2024, the planned activities include scholarships for Ukrainian students to complete a semester of study at Gdansk University of Technology, full-time and online English language courses for future engineers, a summer school in a hybrid formula to improve students’ engineering competences, participation of staff and students in Open Days and Sustainability Week, and the creation of modern teaching materials.
