The training facilities at the Maritime University of Technology in Szczecin have been enriched with an ultra-modern centre equipped with a storm simulator and other unique installations. The MUSTC Offshore Training Centre has been built on the premises of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
The centre’s facilities include a range of state-of-the-art equipment and installations that will be used to conduct specialised courses and training for specialists in the rapidly growing offshore industry.
They include a 4m-deep training pool, a wave generator in the pool, a fog generator, a system for creating auditory-visual experiences imitating storm conditions, a life raft for 16 people, a lifeboat, a scaffolding with an escape sleeve, a scaffolding for training work at height, a simulator for lifting survivors, and a crane for sinking a helicopter cabin.
