Nearly 600 scholarships for BA studies, joint master’s studies and MA studies have been awarded by the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) as part of the General Władysław Anders Scholarship Programme for the Polish Diaspora.
The General Władysław Anders Scholarship Programme for the Polish community enables young people of Polish origin and holders of the Card of the Pole to study at Polish universities in the Polish language.
Within the call for applications, 1548 applications were submitted in the NAWA ICT system, of which 1041 applications for the NAWA Director’s scholarship were formally correct. 470 of them received NAWA Director’s scholarships ( for universities subordinate to the Minister of Education and Science). In addition, 133 applications of formally correct applicants for the scholarship of the Minister of Health and 38 applications for the scholarship of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage were selected after formal assessment.
Regarding applications for scholarships for MA studies, 272 applications were submitted in this year’s call for the Anders NAWA programme. 244 applications were formally correct and 129 were awarded financing.
Among the scholarship recipients, the largest number of beneficiaries were citizens of Belarus, Ukraine, Lithuania and Kazakhstan.
