The National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) has prepared the publication “Joint and Double Studies. Poland and the world”, which summarizes on 182 pages the previous experience in international cooperation of universities in Poland and in the world. It is an attempt to diagnose how the future of studies enabling to obtain double or joint diplomas will look like.

The experts summarized the scope of conducting studies enabling obtaining a joint or double diploma. Although the very concept and topic have been known in literature since the 1970s, the reality of Polish higher education is still an insufficiently recognized issue.

The publication answers the questions of organizational challenges for universities, but also funding, recognition rules, terminology or issues of legal solutions resulting from system differences in individual countries. The volume includes articles by Polish experts and examples from the USA, Germany, the Czech Republic, Norway and Hungary.
