Professor Tatsuya Okubo, dean of the School of Engineering at the University of Tokyo and Prof. Krzysztof Kurek, director of the National Center for Nuclear Research (NCBJ), signed an agreement on academic exchange between the institutions he represents.
The agreement signed for a five-year period provides for the exchange of scientists, students and administrative staff, conducting joint research, organizing lectures and symposia, and exchanging scientific information.
NCBJ strives to establish scientific contacts with all leading research institutions in Europe, America and Asia. – We would like to use the Japanese experience in educating our PhD students. We also intend to conduct joint research, among others. using the Japanese infrastructure as well as the unique opportunities offered by the Maria research reactor operating at NCBJ – said director Kurek.
