The National Center for Research and Development, together with the Ministry of Enterprise and Technology set up a working team to check the possibilities of launching a railway construction in vacuum tunnels in Poland.

Prof. Maciej Chorowski, director of the National Center for Research and Development, highlights in an interview with the newspaper “Puls Biznesu”, that the possible construction would be based on the standard developed in Poland, but it would not be a competition for Hyperloop in other corners of the world, because the same technology can have a variety of technical solutions.

The National Center for Research and Development works on new solutions allowing to accelerate the traditional railways. As part of the Luxtorpeda 2.0 project, this year a letter of intent was signed with the Polish State Railways on the construction of new locomotives prototypes.
