The National Center for Research and Development (NCBR) has started the call for projects supporting the development of human resources in the business services sector. In the competition financed from European Funds – Operational Program Knowledge Education Development (PO WER), NCBR allocated PLN 80 million to support universities from medium-sized cities.

The aim of the NCBR is to support universities from medium-sized cities in developing education that allow students to increase their competences or qualifications in accordance with the needs of employers from the business services sector.

-Medium-sized cities should not only maintain their socio-economic functions, but also use their potential to a greater extent than before. By directing public funds for specific activities, we improve the quality of life of residents, increasing the investment attractiveness of their cities. A higher level of education and good conditions for cooperation between universities and entrepreneurs are important elements of supporting regional development, which is so important for the development of the whole country – emphasizes Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin, Minister of Science and Higher Education.
