The National Center for Research and Development has announced the call “University available”. The competition is financed from the European Funds – Operational Program Knowledge Education Development (PO WER). Adapting the university to the needs of people with disabilities is one of the objectives of the Government Accessibility Plus Program.

The “Accessible University” call is part of the Government Access Availability Plus program. Its purpose is to introduce changes that will result in the full participation of people with special needs in social and public life. The whole spectrum of planned solutions is to make our surroundings like universities, schools, means of transport more friendly and accessible to people with disabilities – explains Jerzy Kwieciński, Minister of Investment and Development.

The call for proposals will start on April 15 and will last until June 28, 2019. The total budget of the “Available University” is PLN 200 million, and public and private universities can apply for funding of up to PLN 15 million, regardless of the number of students.
