The National Centre for Science (NCN) has published the results of the OPUS 22+LAP/Weave competition for research projects implemented by Polish scientists in cooperation with teams from Germany and Slovenia.
Funding was awarded to 15 bilateral Polish-German research projects (three in the humanities, social sciences and arts, four in life sciences and as many as eight in science and technology) and one trilateral Polish-German-Slovenian project in science and technology. The total funding awarded is more than PLN 19.9 million.
Among the topics of the bilateral projects funded under the competition are issues related to ecology.
Ecology in politics will be tackled by Dr Zofia Łapniewska from the Jagiellonian University in Kraków together with Claudius Gräbner-Radkowitsch from Europa-University Flensburg. The aim of their research is to better understand the impact of the implementation of green transition policies on the countries and regions of the European Union and to identify areas where it carries the risk of triggering socio-economic polarisation.
