Scientists from the Jagiellonian University (UJ) in Kraków, University of Adam Mickiewicz (UAM) in Poznań and the Institute of Psychology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) will lead research teams implementing interdisciplinary projects in cooperation with scientists from the countries of the European Economic Area.
The budget of the IdeaLab competition amounted to nearly PLN 17.5 million. Polish scientists will carry out research on the threats facing European society today under funded projects, in cooperation with partners from Norway. Scientists from the Jagiellonian University together with partners from the Institute of Pharmacology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the University of Oslo and the Poznań University of Technology will conduct research on mechanisms and processes that increase resistance to false information in the Internet.
Researchers from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań in cooperation with researchers from the University of Warsaw, Center for International Climate Change from Oslo and Norwegian Institute for Air Research from Kjeller will work on developing a transdisciplinary methodology in research on climate change.
Also, the research team from the Institute of Psychology of the Polish Academy of Sciences together with the Norwegian Institute for Air Research from Kjeller, the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology and the University of Warsaw will conduct research to understand how multi-sensory virtual experience influences real pro-environmental behavior.
