The National Science Center (NCN) is inviting research organizations for the fourth time to establish Dioscuri Centers of Scientific Excellence as part of their organizational structure.

Scientific institutions that conduct mainly independent and continuous research activities may apply for the creation of Dioscuri Centers. Online applications will be accepted by February 14, 2021.

The Dioscuri program was initiated by the Max Planck Society with the goal of establishing a network of Dioscuri Centers of Scientific Excellence in Central and Eastern Europe. The program will enable outstanding scientists to conduct research at the highest world level in research institutions located in this part of Europe.

In Poland, the first two Dioscuri Centers were opened in September 2019 at the Marceli Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
