Over 2 million botanical, mycological and zoological specimens from the resources of the Faculty of Biology of the University of Adam Mickiewicz (UAM) in Poznań were digitized and made available in the AMUNATCOLL IT system. The oldest of them were collected 200 years ago.

For 100 years, the university has collected natural collections that document the taxonomic, phylogenetic, biogeographic and ecological research carried out at the Faculty of Biology. AMUNATCOLL is an IT system for collecting and analyzing digital data on biodiversity, the source of which are primarily natural resources deposited at the Faculty of Biology.

The portal provides data on 2,221,132 specimens and field observations, grouped into three main collections: botanical (algae and plants), mycological (fungi and lichens) and zoological (animals). The specimens deposited in the UAM Nature Collections come from all continents.
