Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń rated by QS World University Rankings

Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń for the eighth time was rated in the renowned QS World University Rankings, which includes a thousand of the best colleges in the world.

The university was placed among the universities in the 9th and 10th hundred (places 801-1000). University of Warsaw (321nd), Jagiellonian University (326nd) and Warsaw University of Technology (511-520) were higher in the ranking. The top three of the ranking are three American universities: Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University and Harvard.

The ranking, recognized as the most important list of universities in the world, has been created since 2004 by the organization Quacquarelli Symonds. The ranking takes into account: the opinion of lecturers, the opinion of employers, the ratio of the number of students to the number of lecturers, the number of citations of scientific publications based on Scopus and the percentage of lecturers from abroad and foreign students.
