12 teams of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, operating in three research areas, were among the winners of the second Emerging Fields competition under the “Initiative of Excellence – Research University” program.

The competition was addressed to research teams operating at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, which have demonstrated documented scientific activity over the last five years – raising funds for research, carrying out research projects and activities to increase the internationalization of research at the university.

27 applications were submitted to the competition, 12 research teams were selected, four in each field panel (life sciences, humanities, social sciences and arts, and exact and technical sciences). Each of them will receive funds in the amount of one million PLN within three years of operation.
